This Privacy Policy explains how Geos Spys AI (“the App”) handles your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Process

When you use Geos Spys AI, the following may be processed:

• Photos you submit: When you choose a photo for location analysis, the image is sent over an encrypted (TLS) connection to our own server at geospys.com, which forwards it to Google LLC’s Gemini AI API for analysis. The photo is processed in real time: it is not written to disk, not recorded in any database, and not retained by us once the result has been returned. Google processes the image in accordance with its own Privacy Policy (policies.google.com). Location metadata embedded in the file (EXIF) is removed before the image leaves your device.
• Coordinates already in your photo: If a photo carries GPS coordinates in its EXIF data, the App reads them on your device and sends only those coordinates — not the photo — to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service to turn them into a place name.
• Device information: Basic technical device information used for app functionality and stability.
• Usage & diagnostics: Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports that help us improve the App.

How We Use Information

Information is used solely to provide and improve the App’s features — analyzing photos to estimate their location, keeping the App reliable, and understanding aggregate usage. We do not sell your personal data.

Data Retention

Submitted photos are processed in real time and are not retained by us after analysis. Diagnostic and usage records are kept no longer than necessary for the purposes above and are then deleted. To operate free-usage limits and to prevent abuse, we keep limited technical identifiers — an identifier generated by the App on your device, and a shortened or hashed form of your network address — which we do not use to identify you personally.

Third-Party Services

Geos Spys AI uses the following third-party services. Each processes data under its own privacy terms:

• Google LLC — Gemini API: analyses the submitted photo and estimates where it was taken.
• Google Maps Platform: displays maps, and provides the Street View imagery used by the location-guessing feature.
• OpenStreetMap Foundation — Nominatim: converts coordinates found in a photo’s EXIF data into a place name.
• Adapty: manages subscriptions and verifies subscription status.

Children

Geos Spys AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your Choices
